Post-Operative Care
Arestin is a brand name medication that treats periodontitis, a severe bacterial gum disease. Arestin kills or prevents the growth of bacteria in your mouth. It can also reduce gum inflammation.
Please follow the recommendations below after Arestin treatment.
- Mile to moderate sensitivity is normal during the first week.
- Wait at least 12 hours before brushing teeth in the area where Arestin was placed.
- Wait at least 10 days before using floss, toothpicks or water flosser devices around treated area.
- Avoid eating hard, crunch or sticky foods for one week.
- Avoid touching the treated area.
